We recently went to eat there and were shocked at the appalling service. We were served by four different waiters, three very young clumsy trainees and one extremely unmotivated, unprofessional and rude older waiter. The latter snorted constantly, as if every little thing about his job was too much for him, shuffled across the room, spilled the water while pouring, threw his dirty tray on the table in the middle of the room and didn't stop at our table for a minute to order our items correctly, which ultimately even led to wrong menus. He even vented his own lack of motivation at the next table and loudly expressed how physically and mentally exhausting gastronomy would be because, I quote, "rude guests". I was really very disappointed, as the restaurant and also the food theoretically really had potential. In my opinion, the boss should pay more attention to who he lets work for him, the service is half the battle. The entire service staff would have to be retrained and the older man, to whom his job doesn't seem to mean much, should think about whether he should look for another job where one doesn't have to deal with people, I'm not just saying that as an annoyed guest but also as someone who comes out of the service himself.

Pork escalope with potato salad and oyster mushrooms outside on the self-service terrace in front of the door for EUR 9.50, excellently prepared and very different in taste and delicious. Recommended after a nice walk through the forest through the Eilenriede. Currently only on weekends, preferably at lunchtime ???

Our little celebration in the tax thief was not only an extremely enjoyable but also a very successful and stylish event! Mr. Ontrup advised us very well in advance. We were welcomed in a very friendly way, the table was lovingly set according to the occasion and afterwards we had the opportunity to get to know the excellent cuisine with a 5-course menu. The service was great! Very courteous, attentive and individual requests were promptly served. Top! Our guests were thrilled, each course was not only a feast for the eyes but also a culinary experience! With so much enjoyment, as a host you can sit back and enjoy the celebration in peace. You have made a major contribution to this from Mr. Ontrup and her team. For this we say THANK YOU very much !! The day is and remains a wonderful memory for us! We'll meet Again. Until then!

We slept for the wedding of a family member in this hotel, the rooms are platonic, but clean, unfortunately not very modern decor. After the marriage, then a small celebration below the guest rooms took place, the tables were festively set. The point deduction there for it, the buffet, was not very nice, it was all cold, the fish was still frozen and the cheese rolled out from drought, it did not taste good.

We celebrated our wedding / marriage in Steuerdieb. The bad weather has unfortunately meant that the free wedding in the interior had to take place. This succeeded - also because the staff responded flexibly. Otherwise there is a suitable gravel area outside. The price performance ratio was right, the location was very nice, the waiters were friendly and the food a stroke !!! We were very well advised in the food selection and could have wished every dish. From the finer cuisine to currywurst fries as a midnight snack, everything was there. Due to the harsh and sometimes snotty nature of the owner, I deducted a point in the evaluation. Her son, on the other hand, is very accommodating and I am glad that above all he served as the contact person.

Very nice and relaxing. After a walk a glass of wine always nice. Staff and service friendly and helpful.

We celebrated our wedding there in August, it was very nice. The menu was delicious, and we still rave about it today with our guests. Staff was very polite.
